Testimonials

“We moved to Community School when our daughter was 1.5 to be closer to home, and have been so happy here. Within a week Maggie went from crying at drop off to not wanting to leave at the end of the day! Her teacher is so caring and reports back to us each day on what she did, what she’s excelling at, and what they’re working on. The other teachers all know Maggie too and really work together like a family. We feel like Community School makes a huge effort to give Maggie stimulation in all kinds of ways. They play outside a lot including with bikes, they learn about science even from a young age, and she’s given many opportunities to be creative. They read lots of books and it’s so fun to hear Maggie say new words that she learned at school. She couldn’t be happier and neither could we!” – Kelly

Amazing staff and a wonderful community. The Community School teachers are an amazing group of dedicated early-childhood professionals. They have creative curriculum with a good balance of play and an age-appropriate academics. There is virtually no turnover, and the teachers are great at communication with parents. The play spaces are awesome–a bike path for tricycles, an outdoor stage for dramatic play, and raised beds for a garden, which they children tend. Plus, they have catered farm-to-table lunches. The director is completely committed to the mission of early childhood education and making her child care center the very best that it can be. Plus, we love the families and have even made friends through the day care. It really is a community and a magical place for our daughter. We feel lucky to have found it.

A Salute to Community School for People under Six, Chapel Hill – Two of my children attended Community School for People under Six. What an awesome program they have. This child care center really cares about young children and their families. They focus on maintaining high quality early care and education for all children in its diverse population. My girls were excited everyday to see their teachers. The staff is wonderful. As a parent, I cannot make a better recommendation for a child care center. They are the best. I thank them everyday for being the positive role models my girls needed as teachers. They loved their teachers. This is a fun place for children that has a great environment for learning.
